"Blood for Freedom" On December 16, 1864, the 13th USCI charged Overton Hill during the Battle of Nashville in what would later be described as a charge into hell itself. Five color bearers would eventually succumb to the furious futile Confederate efforts to take Nashville. Artist : Steve Matthews
